Emily is currently a Research Associate for the HBCD study at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. This study is interested in better understanding the ways in which child development is impacted by exposures to substances and other environmental, social, and biological factors during pregnancy and after birth.

Baby Brain Imaging and Behavior Study  

Emily was previously a Research Associate at UCLA for the Baby BIBS project, an Autism Center of Excellent (ACE) grant funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). This study aimed to examine brain function and behavior in early infancy in order to identify the earliest predictors of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental delays.
